Northwestern University – Center for Talent Development (CTD)

CTD's director, Susan Corwith, and the CTD staff team are internationally recognized for their work in gifted education and the field of talent development, and former director, Paula Olszewski-Kubilius' research is recognized as transformational in the field.

Programme Highlights

Top-scoring students from Ei ASSET Talent Search have the chance to apply to various CTD programs. CTD offers a wide variety of enrichment (non-credit) and accelerated, credit-bearing academic programs (honors level and Advanced Placement) for children from age 4 through grade 12.

Residential summer programs are held on Northwestern University's Evanston, Illinois, US campus. CTD online courses are available year-round, including during the summer, and are designed with busy students in mind—flexibly paced, asynchronous, and led by expert instructors who engage students through problem- and inquiry-based learning activities.

Eligibility

Ei ASSET Talent Search Scores qualify students for CTD’s most accelerated courses:

  • > 90th percentile – Indigo Tier (Test-score applicant)
  • < 90th percentile – Indigo Tier via Admission Portfolio

Admission Portfolio applicants must include Ei ATS percentile scores, transcript, and a teacher recommendation. Scores remain valid for two years.

  • Ei ASSET Talent Search percentile scores
  • Transcript (scan of annual report cards acceptable)
  • Teacher recommendation – preferably current-year and in the subject relevant to the chosen course
