GenWise: Gifted Lab and Gifted Summer Program
GenWise is India's leading institution for identifying and nurturing gifted students. For ATS students it runs two programmes – Gifted Lab, a year-round online programme in mathematics and science for Grades 5-8, and the Gifted Summer Program, a three-week residential programme for Grades 6-11 on the campuses of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
The flagship GenWise Gifted Summer Program (GSP) is a three-week residential gifted program held in May and June, in Manipal and Bengaluru. It brings together India's brightest young learners for intensive, interdisciplinary courses that go beyond the school curriculum. Students live and learn in a vibrant residential community led by university faculty and professional mentors, developing higher-order thinking, independence, and meaningful friendships.
Gifted Lab happens through the year, taught online. All registrants of ATS are eligible for it. Students who qualify in ATS join Advanced Gifted Lab, an exclusive cohort made up only of ATS qualifiers, so every child in the room is an intellectual peer.
Programme Details
- Gifted Lab: Online, through the school year, with two live 90-minute sessions a week – one in mathematics, one in science. Advanced Gifted Lab starts in January 2027, after ATS results.
- Gifted Summer Program: 9-29 May 2027 at MAHE Manipal, or 13 June-3 July 2027 at MAHE Bengaluru. Grades 6-7 attend the last two weeks of either edition.
- Beyond class: Masterclasses, career talks with professionals, and a moderated online community of gifted students.
Eligibility
- Every ATS registrant in Grades 5-8: qualifies for Gifted Lab.
- 75th percentile and above in Ei ASSET Talent Search: qualified for the Gifted Summer Program (Grades 6-11 in 2027-28) and Advanced Gifted Lab (Grades 5-8), with priority acceptance.
- 50th-74th percentile: provisionally qualified for both, on review of an admission portfolio – recent report cards, a teacher recommendation, or a short panel interview.
- ATS medal holders: a fee reduction on the Gifted Summer Program, applied automatically.
